Description

Pointillism! ... it's your friend :3
I actually really enjoyed doing the pointillism pieces, they hurt my hand so much, but I liked the outcome.

An ink illustration for my final project at University - I made a book of Botanical Illustrations on plants that were important to me in some way.

The book has around 60 illustrations in, and writing telling stories and facts about why the plants are important to me.

Beech –
I didn’t really care about the beech tree itself much; its seed pods and seeds where what most interested everyone.
The seed pods were soft and fluffy on the inside while the seeds were very shiny in smooth, giving an interesting array of textures. They weren’t played with as much as some other seeds, but the seed pods could be placed on a finger like a hat for a tiny person, much like how acorn caps were used also.

This one looks almost exactly like some of the illustrations you'd find in old textbooks! I always love looking at those.
Funny, beech trees are actually my favorite trees but the nuts are pretty tasty too :)
