The Bell Man - 2 by seasonaldragon1 The Bell Man - 2 by seasonaldragon1
The second picture of the series of images that I had to do earlier this year for University.

The project brief was to illustrate a paragraph from a book (the University got to choose which paragraphs we could choose from)

My paragraph was:
I stayed up till the bell-man came by with his bell just below my window as I was writing of this very line, and cried, "Past one of the clock, and a cold, frosty, windy morning."

I wanted to mess around with extreme perspectives for this project.
In the end I only made two pictures for this because I had Physics and Biology exam re-sits from college at the same time as my uni course, but two pictures still counted as a 'series' of images, Hehe ^^;

Awesome ^-^
It's really great to be in an environment dedicated purely to Art.

Good luck with your application :3
What kind of course are you going for?

Ah, cool :3
It won't be too much of a shock next year then ^-^

In my experience Universities don't even bother to consider you if you haven't done a Foundation year yet. In the one degree course interview that I had last year the interviewer couldn't wait to get rid of me, he didn't even look at my portfolio properly! This year when I applied there again (after my Foundation year) they basically told me I'd been accepted at the end of the interview X3 hehe

But seeing as you're at a specialist arts college you might be able to apply straight away if you have a massive portfolio of work?

Hehe, that's quite a combination ^-^
I'm sure you'll find a course suited to what you want to do, even though it's an uncommon mixture of arts X3 hehe

It's supposed to be the same scene as the first picture seen from a different view point. So the light across the street in this one is the same light coming from the candle in the first picture ^-^
You're so kind, thankyou for such lovely comments :3

I really enjoyed these pieces you did! In fact, any of your ink/watercolour work in particular because you work so well in those media!

I really love the perspective in this - it's not just created by the lines but by the contrasting lighting as well. It gives it so much depth! I don't know if that makes any sense but it's hard to explain what I mean.
I think that's a difficult thing to achieve. D: So really well done!

Thankyou, I went a bit crazy with the perspectives there, but I'm glad you think the effort paid off ^-^

You're some hell of an artist, Seas'. D: This perspective is simply amazing, as well as the coloring - being at the same time fantastic and realistic. You thought of every single light effect the environment causes and displayed it in a convincing manner.

Damn, I envy you. ;3;
